Can you picture yourself in the position?
Do you have expertise being responsible for the development,
maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of the internet and intranet
websites? Implementing and maintaining the website database systems,
and third-party web/desktop applications? Developing websites and
applications for mobile devices? Providing backup support for all
servers, workstations and networks at various offices and remote locations?
You have proven experience in:
- Design, development and maintenance for websites and intranet sites, including posting static company information on a corporate website, creating database-driven forms for internal and external use, and displaying information from various databases.
- Creating, modifying and maintaining SQL databases, including, but not limited to creating tables, views, stored procedures and functions.
- Ensuring a consistent look and feel across websites by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images, and layout, and creating appropriate templates to assist content authors.
- Developing websites and applications for mobile devices.
- Working with third party applications and implementing integration points.
- Performing administration functions in Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and providing backup support to the IT Support Specialist to troubleshoot desktop and server issues.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 or more years experience.
- A strong knowledge of web scripting languages and database programming, such as, T-SQL, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, SQL Server 2008, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), HTMLS, JQUERTY, Javascript, Excel, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio and 2010.
- Principles of database implementation and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of desktop support in a networked environment, Microsoft operating systems and office application support.
It would be great if you also had…
- Knowledge of insurance.
- Knowledge of Oregon government.
Desirable Licenses or Certifications
- Valid driver’s license; employees are expected to maintain a safe driving record while employed with CIS.
- Certifications such as MCSE and MCSA.
Work Location
- Candidate hired will work primarily at CIS’ Tigard office, but sometimes will work in our Salem office.
May require occasional statewide travel.

Risk Management-Temporary-Claims Specialist-.60 FTE
Under direction of the Director of Risk Management administer assigned liability,
automobile, small property, and workers compensation related work and claims
for the Districts self-insurance program. Identify and evaluate losses
and handle claims within the insurance policy provisions and guidelines
established by District policies and directives. Responsible for assigned
claims.
