Review of Minutes:
A motion to approve the Minutes of December 4, 2009 was made by Benson Meyers. Seconded by Marc Anderson. Unanimously approved.
Treasurers’ Report:
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report was made by Gary Hales. Seconded by Dwayne Kroening. Unanimously approved.
General discussion regarding sponsorships and appreciation for the level of sponsorship involvement at the Fall conference took place. Sara Stevenson noted that links to sponsor web sites are now on the PRIMA web site.
New Business:
Spring Meeting:
Quotes for the Conference were received from the Salem Conference Center and Red Lion Hotel. It was agreed the 2010 Spring Conference will be held at the Red Lion on April 9th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Lengthy discussion was again held regarding potential subjects for the Spring Conference. The following tentative schedule was developed and agreed upon:
Session 1 – 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. “Show Me the Money!” This program will share details and experiences regarding monetary recovery for using the Preferred Worker and Employer at Injury and other available programs. Speaker(s) to be determined.
Session 2 – 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. “What’s the Big Deal” This program will share Salem’s supervisory training regarding the multitude of new laws enacted and /or effective January 1, including GINA (Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act), ADAAA, Whistleblowing, Public Safety Officer Bill of RIghts, Cell phone use, Veteran’s Preference Points, Uniformed Services, crime victims, etc.
Session 3 – 1:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. “Large Property Losses” – Benson Meyers, Portland Public Schools, and Gary Hales, Marion County, and Sara Stevenson, Washington County, will share the experiences they encountered during large property loss events. Tim Clarke, Beecher Carlson, will be invited to share the presentation from an adjuster/insurers point of view.
An e-mail will be sent to the PRIMA mailing list confirming the date of the Spring Conference.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:27 p.m. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held February 12, 2010, at the Red Lion Hotel, Salem.
